Imagine a charming Lisbon evening, the scent of traditional Portuguese cuisine wafting through the air, and the anticipation of a culinary adventure like no other. As I embarked on my journey to Lisbon, one restaurant stood out, not just for its delectable offerings, but for the fascinating tales woven into its history. And this time, I had the chance to visit the famous restaurant in the city of Lisbon – Solar Dos Presuntos. A place that has etched its name into the very essence of Lisbon’s culinary landscape. With its exceptional Portuguese delicacies, this eatery not only delights the palates of locals but also leaves an indelible impression on the hearts of travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

A Gourmet Journey Begins<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing became apparent as I planned my visit to Solar dos Presuntos: this restaurant’s reputation precedes it. Reservations were a necessity, and I was sure to secure mine a week before my arrival in Lisbon. The restaurant is situated close to the Restauradores station and just a stone’s throw away from the renowned Av. da Liberdade, Lisbon, Portugal. And most importantly, it isn’t too far from the hotel that I live in so I can still walk back to the hotel after drinking whole bottle of sparkling wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I entered the restaurant, the knowledge that even the legendary football player, Christian Ronaldo, had frequented this establishment filled me with excitement. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of camaraderie, knowing that I was about to indulge in the same culinary treasures that had captivated Ronaldo’s palate during his Lisbon visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Tantalizing Start<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seated comfortably, I was greeted with the exquisite offerings of the appetizer course. A bread basket, warm and inviting, whispered promises of the culinary delights that lay ahead. The Special Mixed Platter, a masterpiece in itself, showcased pata negra cured ham, “paio” pork sausage, and cheese that begged to be savored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As my gaze fell upon the menu, the array of seafood choices at Solar dos Presuntos left me enthralled. My heart and taste buds were set on a journey through the flavors of the ocean, and the restaurant did not disappoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, the Prawns “Guilho” Style<\/strong>, a tantalizing dish that featured prawns infused with the bold essence of garlic. Each succulent bite was a revelation of the sea’s freshness, complemented perfectly by the aromatic touch of garlic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, the iconic Cod “Lagareiro” (Grilled)<\/strong>, accompanied by smashed potatoes and saut\u00e9ed vegetables. The cod, grilled to perfection, embodied the essence of Portuguese cuisine, and the accompaniments elevated the dish to a masterpiece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grilled Grouper<\/strong>, paired with smashed potatoes and spinach puree, was a symphony of flavors. The grouper, fresh and beautifully prepared, was a testament to Solar dos Presuntos’ commitment to seafood perfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
